This interesting pin combines the styles of Art Nouveau and Edwardian jewelry. It’s remarkably similar to a piece by Whiteside & Blank that we’ve seen, that had the W&B maker’s mark; however this one is unsigned (not unusual for the time). The pin consists of a gold framework enameled in very pale green – almost white - in a formal Edwardian key pattern. In the middle is a sprig of gold leaves with a pearl berry; the stem twines around the framework. An interesting juxtaposition the formal and the organic styles. There are 3 additional pearls set on the frame. It is marked 10k but tests as a weak 14kt. There is a tiny amount of enamel loss, otherwise in very good condition.
