Chinese late Qing provincial porcelain storage jar decorated in underglaze blue set against a pale celadon-blue background with four stylized diamond forms at the broad shoulder which tapers to a recessed glazed base and unglazed foot rim. A geometric pattern covers the lower portion of the jar. The glaze covers the interior while the mouth rim is unglazed. 5 3/4” height and diameter. Late 19th century. Very good overall condition with typical production imperfections. This jar is from the private collection of a former American expatriate to Guangzhou and Beijing from 1983-1987.
