Large antique Chinese famille rose porcelain seated Budai (Hotei) figure dressed in a floral patterned robe with his bare chest and ample belly protruding. He holds his sack in his left hand and is surrounded by five boys who are seated upon his shoulders and knees. 7 3/4” high. Early Republic period to possibly late Qing (early 20th century to circa 1900). Very good overall condition with some wear to the overglaze enamels consistent with its age. This figure is from an old Scottsdale, Arizona collection.
