Japanese limited edition sosaku hanga woodblock print by Tadashi Nakayama (1927-2014) titled “Butterfly Girl” dated 1977. The print is pencil-signed, dated, and numbered 37/85 in the bottom margin. Image size: 10 5/8”V x 9 ¼”H (paper size: 16 ½”V x 13 5/8”H). Red Nakayama seal verso. Very good overall condition with silver metallic pigments. There are two pieces of brown tape at the top edge verso and there is a very faint mat line barely evident. This early image is illustrated as plate 185 of “Tadashi Nakayama: His Life and Work” by Kappy Hendricks.
