Chinese late Qing dynasty baitong (white brass), also called paktong, opium smoking pipe marked both on the base and under the circular hinged top of the opium holder. A tweezer is included. Late 19th to early 20th century. 10 ¼” high to the tip of the pipe stem, base about 2 5/8” long x 3” high (to flat, circular lid). Good overall condition. The brush tool is missing and the etched decoration is nearly rubbed off from wear. There are a few minor dents in the metal. From an old Scottsdale, Arizona collection.
