13 1/2" long Chinese Qing dynasty export porcelain Canton rectangular platter decorated in underglaze blue with the traditional exotic houses, mountains, ships, and a bridge set against a white porcelain ground. The central panel is surrounded by a "rain and cloud" border. This style of platter is illustrated on page 179 (plate 483) of Nancy Schiffer's book "Chinese Export Porcelain.” 13 1/2” x 10 5/8" x 2 1/2.” 19th century. Very good overall condition. There are old firing imperfections and scratches in the glaze from use. The rim has burst bubbles, tiny old fleabites, and one possible small chip (see close-up images).
