Chinese vertical format scrolled woodblock print produced by the Rongbaozhai Studio in Beijing after an original 1950s sumi-e ink on paper painting by Qi Baishi (1864-1957) depicting a fishing line hanging down to a school of fish titled “Small Fish Have All Come” It is signed at the right “91-year-old old person Qi Baishi” with one red “Qi Huang” seal.
Probably printed in the 1970s to 1980s. Image size: 52 1/2" x 16 1/2" (including silk mounting: 57” x 21 1/4"). Minor buckling, soiling at the edges of the silk scroll mount, and foxing spots are evident. From the Sahuarita, Arizona collection of former expatriates to Okinawa in the late 20th century.
