Japanese Edo period woodblock print titled “Nihonbashi” (#1) from the bijin version of the series "Fifty-three Stations of the Tokaido" (Fujikei Tokaido) by Utagawa Hiroshige (1797-1858) published by Fujiokaya Keijiro between 1849 and 1853. The print depicts a standing beauty holding a long letter. A cartouche at the top section features the Nihonbashi bridge with Mt. Fuji in the background. The print is well-framed with a cream-colored silk mat and red filet. Visible print size: 13 7/8” x 9 1/8” (framed size: 21 5/8" x 16 1/2"). Visibly in very good overall condition.
