Charming Chinese teapot crafted from pewter with a well patinated brass base and a wood finial. Believed to date from the late Qing to early Republic period. Measures 7" high to top of finial (9" high to the top of the handle) and 6" across to the tip of the spout. Very heavy for the size. This teapot was well used yet remains in very good overall condition. There is some loss to the bamboo wrapped handle on one side. This piece is from the private collection of American expatriates who lived in Hong Kong in the 1970s and 1980s.
