Vase. Provenance: China. Dating: Kangxi period (1662-1722). Mark: Yü (jade) character mark of commendation, underglaze blue. Vase on a footring with a glazed base, decorated in underglaze blue. Decorated on the rim with a band of zig-zag lines, on the neck a band of lotus leaves with blooming flowers. On the waist six panels filled with flowering plants growing from rocks and a single flying or sitting bird. The foot is decorated with a alternating trellis pattern. Dimensions: Height: 73 mm (2.87 inch), Diameter: 42 mm (1.65 inch), Diameter of mouth: 18 mm (0.71 inch ), Diameter of footring: 28 mm (1.10 inch). Condition: A tiny, Y-shaped, hairline to the rim, two glaze frits to the waist rim, as you can see the vase stands crooked.
