Saucer. Provenance: China. Dating: Qianlong period (1736-1795), c.1750. A marvellous saucer on a footring with spreading sides and a spreading rim. Famille Rose decorated in various overglaze enamel colours, iron-red and gold. Decorated in the centre with a roundel filled with a Lady in garden holding a basket filled with flowers. On the interior wall three scalloped cartouches with a flower spray. The central representation surrounded by iron-red flower scrolls on a gold round. The reverse is undecorated. Dimensions: Height: 16 mm (0.63 inch), Diameter: 96 mm (3.78 inch), Diameter of footring: 54 mm (2.13 inch). Condition: A tiny firing flaw to the footring.
