This is a necklace identical to the other one I have listed, except that this one is shorter. It is a stretch necklace - about 18" unstretched, and you put it on over the head. It does not have a clasp or extender which is why it is less money than the 21" one I listed. Otherwide it is identical and just as gorgeous. It consists of multi-colored large resin cones. Each of the cones is 1" top to bottom. It was the cone jewelry that Jackie Brazil designed for Lagerfeld, and is often mentioned as the jewelry that put Sobral on the map. The cones came in small, medium and large, and were done in multi-colors such as this one, as well as in clear, white, and black. This necklace is in perfect condition - brand new with tag. It also comes with the Sobral dust bag.
For the uninitiated, Sobral was relatively unknown until about four years ago when Karl Lagerfeld choose Jackie Brazil to design the jewelry for his Paris runway shows. It was the cone pieces that he made for Lagerfeld - new, different, and exciting- that caused a great deal of excitement during the shows and was shortly seen in magazines, and on the red carpets during award shows. Since that time, Sobral jewelry has been sold in select boutiques in France, England, and the United States among other countries. It is all hand made of recycled materials, so it is truly the new "green". Sobral is usually chunky, brilliantly colored, playful, and often made with unusual shapes, like these cones. It is also beautifully polished and finished, and always marked with the etched Sobral trademark.
Check out the matching cone bracelet and magnificent 4" dangle earrings in four different colors, any one of which would be perfect with the necklace.
