This is an extremely rare set of master die or Hobs used to create the dies for striking a coin to commemorate the Apollo 8 mission. These are from 1968 and are in good condition. One side has the seal of the United States of America while the other side has the names and busts of the astronauts, Anders, Borman and Lovell. Please email if you need any additional photos of information. This would be a great addition to any space or Apollo collection. Certainly one-of-a-kind. The coin face is 1.5 inches in diameter. The obverse (side with the seal) weighs over 1300 grams and the reverse weighs over 1300 grams.
