This is a copper alloy sword from the Warring States period in ancient China. This particular piece is in excellent condition with no signs of repair or restoration. It has a beautiful patina indicative of a high-tin content. This piece is being offered as part of a group of artifacts from the same time and location. On of those objects is a medium-sized bronze bowl with Tao-tieh handles and the other is an unusual, large, bronze ear cup. All items have been thoroughly examined and are guaranteed to be authentic antiquities from the time and general area described. The weight of the bowl is 898 grams. It measures approximately 23.3 cm across and is approximately 8.6 cm tall. Each ring measures roughly 2.7 cm in diameter. The overall weight of the cup is 207 grams. The cup is approximately 3.2 cm tall. It measures 13.2 cm along the longitudinal axis and 13.7 cm across the center of the ears. Quality antiquities such as these are becoming difficult to find.
