This is an amazing and HUGE stoneware pedestal vase from the Silla period of ancient Korea (circa 6th century AD). Authentic Korean antiquities have long been hoarded by the Korean government and are thus highly prized by collectors. This piece is most certainly of museum quality and would be coveted by any collector of Asian antiquities. It measures roughly 24 cm in height and almost 25 cm in width. It has three rows of three pierced decorations on the pedestal and scrafitto engraving along the exterior of the bowl. This piece certainly will get snapped up quickly by some savvy collector.
