Vintage starburst sterling silver blue lapis and baroque pearl bracelet designed and signed in the 1950's by Taxco, Mexico modernist artist Antonio Pineda. Bracelet measures 7/8 inch wide and 6 3/4 inches long with clasp closed. Weighs 86grams, 3.0oz. Hallmarked ANTONIO TAXCO within the crown, eagle 17, 970, HECHO EN MEXICO. Beautiful condition. Slide-in clasp is tight and secure as is the attached safety chain. This complex machine age design is pictured on page 208 of WILLIAM SPRATLING AND THE MEXICAN SILVER RENAISSANCE by Penny Morrill and was featured in the museum exhibit of the same title.
