Bold, sensuous sterling silver cuff bracelet designed and signed (c.1955) by Taxco, Mexico artist Hector Aguilar. Bracelet measures 3 1/2 inches wide from the top of the left curled end to the bottom of the right curled end, it is 1 1/2" wide in the center and 2 1/2" on each individual end. 6" interior length with 1 1/8 gap opening for a total wearable length of 7 inches. Weighs 102 grams or 3.06oz. Marked HA 940 TAXCO with Aguilar's eagle # 9. This bracelet was featured in the museum exhibit William Spratling and the Mexican Silver Renaissance and is pictured on p.54 of the museum catalog. Also pictured on p.100 of Silver Masters of Mexico by Penny Morrill. Beautiful vintage condition with normal surface wear. No dings or dents. Rarely seen on the market.
