Sensational and rare sterling silver and amethyst belt buckle designed and signed circa 1940's by American and Taxco, Mexico artist Hubert Harmon. When the hook with a puffy heart tip slides beneath the gill of the fish to secure the buckle in place this work of art measures 6 1/2 inches long and 2 1/4 inches wide. Separately each piece measures 3 3/4 inches long. Each of the belt ends will easily accommodate a 1 1/2 inch belt strap. Weight - 72 grams, 2 1/2 oz.
Fully hallmarked HUBERT HARMON, MADE IN MEXICO along with Harmon's trade mark angel wings framing upturned soles. Beautiful vintage condition with no dents, dings. Deep purple amethyst stone eye in perfect condition.
