This incredibly detailed 970 sterling silver and black obsidian bracelet was designed and signed circa 1950's by Taxco, Mexico modernist Antonio Pineda (1919-2009). The bracelet will comfortably fit up to a 6 7/8" wrist. The 5 panels measure 1 1/8" high. Each panel is inlayed, top and bottom with a crescent shaped lustrous black obsidian stone. The panels are connected by links that are capped with a faceted, bezel set black obsidian stone. The hidden clasp is capped with the same bezel set faceted obsidian stone. Weight - 128 grams, 4.05 oz. Beautiful condition with no dents or dings. Stones are all in perfect condition. Original safety chain in place. Fully hallmarked. We have not seen anything quite like this Antonio design in over 25 years of collecting. Truly museum quality. Antonio designs are included in the permanent 20th Century Mexican silver collection located in the Latin American wing at Los Angeles County Museum of Art - LACMA.
