Monumental and rare this vintage sterling silver & amethyst bracelet was designed and signed circa 1930's by Mexico artist Frederick Davis (1880-1961). The bracelet measures 1 3/4" wide X 7" long. Because of the complex construction it would most comfortably fit up to a 6 3/4" wrist. Weight 88 grams, 3.01 oz. Each stone measures 3/4" across. The stones are deep in color with interesting white contrasting occlusions typical of Mexican amethyst. The bracelet is in beautiful vintage condition. There is a light 1/3" surface scratch on one stone that can be felt more than seen. Clasp is tight & secure. Fully hallmarked on the clasp. Early Davis designs are highly desirable by collectors. LACMA - Los Angeles County Museum of Art includes Davis designs in it's permanent 20th century Mexican collection.
