Important & rare this 1948-53 bracelet was designed & signed by modernist artist Antonio Pineda (1919-2009). Measuring 1 1/4" high & 6 1/2" long the bracelet weighs 121 grams. In beautiful condition. The large amethyst cab stones are stunning giving this piece presence. Signed SILVER BY TONO MEXICO, marks used by Antonio from 1948-53. Both clasp and safety chain in fine working order. This design was included in the museum exhibit SILVER SEDUCTION: THE ART OF MEXICAN MODERNIST: ANTONIO PINEDA and is picture on p. 104 of the museum catalog.
