This elegant, jewel encrusted hand mirror was designed c. 1950's by Mexico City aritist Matilde Poulat. The mirror measures 6" x 3". The outer edge of the glass is beveled. The surrounding frame is inlaid with pyramid cut amethysts and turquoise stones set into channels all in beautiful condition. Matl's attention to detail is evident in this piece just as we see in her intricate jewelry. Fully hallmarked for Matl with assay eagle 129. Matl designs are included in many museum collections including MFA Boston and LACMA.
