Rarely seen on the market this large vintage handmade sterling silver guitar or cello pin was designed and signed c.1950's by Taxco, Mexico artist William Spratling (1900-67). Pin measures 3 1/4"L X 1 3/8"W. Intricately comprised of an open sterling guitar or cello body, 4 sterling strings, sterling scroll work at one end and a cone shaped obsidian tip on the other. Marks: WS .925, WILLIAM SPRATLING, eagle # 30. Beautiful condition with no dents, dings or repairs. Pin back and lock work smoothly.
