Description: A Tang white-glazed box was preserved with an original cover.
On top of the cover, the motif of a butterfly was decorated.
This box was rarely found when the cover's decoration was done with hand-shaped motif.
Most of the boxes in documentation were in-print motifs when there's a decoration.
It was well preserved in very good condition only with crackles and also the frets yielded during the age.
There are some similar pieces are found in the famous collection of Ma Wei Du in Beijiang as you may see on the last pictures.
Date: Tang Dynasty, 618-907
Width: 7.4cm, Height: 4.3cm.
