Description: A big Qingbai bowl was elegantly carved with motifs of dancing boys amid scrolled cloud. Believed as being a product from famed Hutien kiln of Jiangxi province of 9-12th century, the bowl was in pale blue tint and was in very good condition except one faint hairline at the cavetto(about 6.5cm that in half way to the cavetto). It was almost invisible without reminding. The bowl was believed to have been highly esteemed for its once framed mouth rim. For most of the Qingbai wares, metal frames would only be added to the mouth rims that were in unglazed condition. The piece here was therefor exceptional for being a high-end production. The motifs were much more obvious in real than in my pictures. Date: Northern Song Dynasty (AD960-1127), Width: 20.6cm
