This is a very large, fine and important Japanese Blue and White Porcelain Covered Jar coming from an Arita kiln. It features an okimono of an 18c. style shi shi as its finial. This jar has multiple circular plate and charger decorations on its body and over the top of the lid. The Jar also has traditional blade pattern foot rims and symbolic decoration on the top. It is in excellent condition with no damages or losses. The Jar measures 17 1/2" x 13" in Diameter, and dates to the 19th century (1850-1860).
