This drawing was done by artist Bobby Williford in 1996. Bobby Williford is a North Carolina native who now crafts his art in Nashville , Tennessee. Born in 1959 and formerly homeless, Williford has already had a one-man show and a group exhibition at Nashville's prestigious Cheekwood Museum of Art in February and December of 1996. His work has been acquired by numerous connoisseurs of folk art. His drawings are very distinctive and visually complex, and have the quality of brightly colored, faceted jewels strewn across the paper. Bobby is featured in Kathy Moses' Outsider Art of the South 1999 book on pages 189-193. This particular drawing is very detailed and features four large gun barrels pointing at the ground, and several men scattered around the castle. This framed piece measures 30.25 x 21.25 x 1.
