1990 Danbury Mint Garfield Dear Diary Plate titled Nine Lives This 8 3/16 inch diameter plate was produced by the Danbury Mint in 1990 as part of the Dear Diary Garfield the cat series plates.The limited edition plate was limited to 14 firing days and is entitled Nine Lives. The front of the plate has the wording Dear Diary with the words Today, all my nine lives flashed before me on the bottom. The central picture of the plate is that of Garfield on a sled flying through the air, with Odie in mid air as he was thrown from the back of the sled. Paw prints appear along the outer edge with gold gilt around the rim, and Jim Davis, Garfield creator's name printed on the front.Backside of plate has Danbury Mint plate info and is hand numbered in gold. Not for food use due to the metallic pigments contained in the decorative finish. In perfect condition, free of any chips, cracks, or flakes. No box or certificate.
