A long pitchfork shaped sterling silver brooch by Jean Lasnier. He was a member of the Metal Arts Guild between 1951-64 with many of the well known studio artisans of the Mid Century Modern jewelry movement.

Made of polished sterling with a central textured piece for an interesting contrast. Measures 4" long and 1" across at the widest. Marked Sterling and Lasnier on the back. Has a rollover clasp that holds securely.

Fine condition. Striking design.

A vintage sterling silver and pearl Mid Century Modernist brooch in the brutalist style. Consists of eleven tentacles or rays with flattened ends. Has a large off center grey pearl.

Measures 2" across and 1 1/2" high. Has a rollover safety clasp that holds securely.

Has some minor surface scratches and a little tarnish. Pearl has some very minor scuffs.

Well made with a stunning design. Great studio piece.

A sterling silver modernist brooch by noted Mid Century jeweler, Caroline Gleick Rosene. This brooch is made from three thick squared off sterling wires attached to a small triangular piece of sterling. Marked Sterling Rosene on the back. Measures 2 1/4" across and 7/8" at the widest. A rare sterling silver modernist necklace by Phyllis Sklar, American Mid Century jeweler. This piece has a sterling wire overlay on a darkened, oxidized surface adorned with an oval moonstone cabochon, three small pearls, a green bezel set stone, (maybe jade) and dangles of pale green and dark red bezel set cabochons.

Measures 16 1/2" long with a 1 3/4" drop in the center. Has the stylized 'p' hallmark, phyllis and sterling on the back...

An abstract, geometric cuff bracelet made of thick sterling wires and flattened sterling curved areas by the NYC jeweler, Henry Steig.

Measures about 5" around with an opening of 1 1/4". Measures 2 1/8" wide. Can probably be adjusted slightly. Fits snugly on my average wrist and does not turn, (which is good). Signed on the inside with Steig Sterling. Has some minor surface scratches and a little tarnish.

Outstanding hand wrought design.

An abstract sterling silver brooch and or matching pendant with neckring by Modernist NYC Silversmith, Henry Steig. They have a folded three dimensional design with a pearl.

Brooch measures just under 2" long and 3/8" at the widest. Rollover clasp holds securely. There is a little wear to the top surface of the pearl but you have to use a loupe to see it.

The matching pendant measures 1 3/8" long and 1/4" at the widest. Has some tarnish...

A vintage hand wrought sterling silver brooch from the American Studio Modernist jeweler, John Lewis. Made up of multiple circles at different heights and contrasting textures. You can see the light hammering around the edge.

Measures about 2 1/4" across and 2" high. Heavy and substantial. Weighs 38 gr. Marked Sterling and with the crossed JL mark of the artist. It is marked under the pin making it difficult to photograph.

Very nice condition...

A choice of a pair of vintage earrings or hook bracelet from the American Studio Modernist jeweler, John Lewis in hammered sterling silver. May purchase individually or together.

The screw back earrings measure 1/2" across. They hold securely. Marked Sterling and with the crossed JL mark of the artist on the back of the screw part. You can see the hammer marks that the artist is known for.

A pair of sterling silver screw back earrings in a mid century modernist design. We have seen only one other pair in almost the exact design signed Ed Wiener. Constructed of a layer of oxidized sterling with a contrasting polished curved sterling wire overlay.

The earrings measure 1 1/4" high and 7/8" across and hold securely. They are marked with Sterling, hand wrought and a partial W in a triangle. The screw part is marked Sterling.

Minor surface scratches...

A very rare piece of hand wrought sterling silver modernist jewelry by the San Francisco Metalsmith, Harry Dixon.

This unusual massive cuff bracelet has a large spinach green and yellow striated raised agate. Very three dimensional.

Measures 5 1/2" around with an opening of 1 1/8". Does not have much flexibilty. Measures 2 7/8" wide at the front. Weighs 105 gr.

Marked with a stamped Harry Dixon and Sterling.

A vintage pair of sterling silver Mid Century Modernist pierced earrings by Betty Cooke.

Each earring has three polished silver disks connected to a silver tube. Opposites so frame the face when worn.

Measure about 2" long and 3/4" across.

Signed Cooke and sterling on the back of each earring. The clutches are not marked.

A sterling silver pendant necklace with a Tiger's Eye cabochon in a modernist design. Marked with what looks like KL in a Circle, 925, © and 1974. So far we have been unable to identify the silversmith. This pendant has a little tarnish.

Pendant measures 2" long and 1 3/8" across the widest area. The chain measures 16 1/2" long and has a secure spring clasp marked 925 with another tiny mark. May be an 'S'. Also marked Sterling on the link next to the clasp.

An important early brooch of sterling silver by the acclaimed American modernist jeweler, Margaret De Patta. Measures 3" long and 1 5/8" at the widest. Early incised maker's mark. Circa 1935. Heavy layered sterling in an abstract floral design. Wonderful condition, with some very minor surface scratches and tarnish. Missing the rollover bar on the clasp. Slight bend on the pin. A similar De Patta brooch can be seen in the Philips de Pury Design Auction dated May 24, 2007, lot number 189....

A rare modernist sterling silver bracelet by the noted jewelry teacher and designer, Adda Husted-Andersen. Husted-Andersen taught in NYC at the Craft Student's League and her work was exhibited as part of the 1946 landmark exhibition, "Modern Jewelry Design" at the Museum of Modern Art.
