Two very cool brooches in brass by Peggy Miller, an American studio jeweler who worked in Baltimore in the 1950's -60's. May purchase as a pair or individually.

The fish brooch measures 2" across and 1 1/2" high. Has a rollover safety clasp that holds securely. Signed Peggy Miller on the back. Has some tarnish.

A vintage sterling silver and enamel hand wrought brooch by the California Modernist, Esther Lewittes. Measures 3 5/8" long and 2 3/4" across. Signed Lewittes Sterling on the back. Has a rollover safety clasp that holds securely. Has a warm patina. Enamel is in very nice condition. There is a small nick to the back edge of the silver. Fine example of her work.

A very long sterling silver curved brooch by noted San Francisco silversmith, Franz Bergmann.

Measures 5" long and 1" at the widest. Signed with the artisan's conjoined FB and sterling.

Constructed of three curved thick sterling wires with connectors. Features a rollover clasp that holds securely. Has some tarnish. The pin closure is slightly bent.

A rare early abstract sterling silver brooch by Sam Kramer. Measures 1 3/4" high and 2" wide. Signed with an impressed mushroom and sterling on the back. Has a rollover safety clasp that holds securely. Pin back is bent at the end but seems to be original and follows the curves of the brooch. Fine example of his work.

A wonderfully crafted sterling silver brooch with leaves and cherries by the Chicago silver firm, Kalo. Measures approximately 1 3/4" across and 2" long. Marked Hand Wrought Sterling Kalo. and 109. Has a rollover safety clasp that holds tightly. Beautiful condition.

A sterling silver modernist brooch by Helen Scheier Adelman, (1909-1999), American Mid Century jeweler. This brooch depicts two antelope in thick polished sterling with a darker bumpy surface enamel background.

Measures 1 3/8" tall and 1 1/8" at the widest. Signed Adelman and Sterling on the back. Nice contrast between the darkened rough and shiny layers. Rollover clasp holds securely. Has some minor surface scratches.

She also sold her work directly to high end retail outlets. Brooch measures 1 7/8" across and 2 1/2" high. Marked on the back JoPoL, Sterling and design number 472. Has a rollover safety clasp that holds securely. Warm patina. Great Arts and Crafts design.

A sterling silver hand wrought brooch by the mid century modernist studio jeweler, Ruth Berridge, (1921-2004).

Has nine cascading dangles with balls at each end for a multidimensional effect. Measures about 1 3/4" across and 1" high.
