A modernist, abstract 14K Gold and Sterling Silver curved brooch embellished with a baroque pearl by Ed Levin.

Measures 3 5/8" long. Signed with the script © Ed Levin, 14K and Sterling.

Fine condition with minor surface scratches and some tarnish. Has a rollover clasp that holds securely.

A sterling silver bar brooch with a diamond shaped art glass green cabochon. Measures 2 7/8" long and about 1/2" at the widest. Closes with ah early 'C' clasp. In nice condition, has a little wear to the surface of the cabochon. Classic arts and crafts design.

Measures 5" long and 1" at the widest. Signed with the artisan's conjoined FB and sterling.

Constructed of three curved thick sterling wires with connectors. Features a rollover clasp that holds securely. Has some tarnish. The pin closure is slightly bent.

Would look fantastic on a lapel of either a man or a woman. Fine example.

An important, rare modernist brooch by the renowned African American jeweler, Art Smith. Has a copper ball caged in swirled brass coils. The ball moves for an interesting effect.

Measures 3 1/4" long and 2 3/8" at the widest. Marked with the 'Art Smith' script signature. Has a secure rollover clasp. In fine condition with areas of tarnish.

A vintage sterling silver, turquoise and ironwood brooch made by Nicholas Gambino for White Hogan of Scottsdale, AZ. Measures 1 7/8" across and 1 7/8" tall. Signed NG, the mark for White Hogan and Sterling on the back. Rollover clasp holds tightly. In very nice condition. Outstanding design.

A well crafted sterling silver brooch signed Sterling Handwrought and The Gorham Co. Probably executed by the Chicago silversmith Bjarne Meyer. Beautifully hand hammered silver. Bjarne Meyer did work for Gorham and also worked for Georg Jensen, USA. Measures 1 5/8" across. Has a three dimensional repousse design, possibly a stylized feather or apple. Dark patina, has some tarnish. Fine example of Arts and Crafts silver work.

A pair of vintage hammered sterling silver brooches from the American Studio Modernist jeweler, John Lewis, available in two sizes. Great hammered texture. Larger brooch measures about 1 3/4" across and 1 1/2" high. Smaller brooch measures 1 1/2" across and 1 3/8" high. Both pieces are marked Sterling and with the crossed JL mark of the artist. A vintage sterling silver brooch with a high domed shaped light brown stone, (probably smoky topaz), cabochon by Elis Kauppi for Kupittaan Kulta of Finland. This modernist brooch measures 2 1/4" across and 1" high. Reminiscent of Native American designs. Marked with Kauppi's anvil mark, Sterling and Finland. Has an earlier style trombone clasp which holds securely. Fine condition. Wonderful example of Scandinavian modernist jewelry.

Two modernist sterling silver hand wrought brooches by Lore Garrick, (1920-2013) in organic free flowing styles. Lore Garrick made hand crafted jewelry in NYC in the 1950s. Known as 'Mother Lore' because her son became Tamal Krishna Goswami, she made the first pieces of jewelry for the Hare Krishna movement in Los Angeles.

Measures 2 1/4" across and 1 7/8" high. Has a central oval brown bezel set cabochon that may be Carnelian. Marked 826, which was the Danish silver standard used until about 1911. A sterling silver foliate brooch by Alphonse La Paglia who was a designer for Georg Jensen, USA. There is another version of this brooch done for Georg Jensen, USA also marked 126 and both were designed by La Paglia. Measures 2 3/8" long and 1 7/8" wide. Marked International Sterling La Paglia Designed 126. Has a rollover safety clasp that holds securely. Warm patina. Has a little tarnish and a tiny ding on the front leaf. Well made and heavy.

A lightly hammered pewter brooch with a central rose colored round Ruskin pottery jewel. Marked Hand Wrought Plantagenet, REGSIN, Pending on the back. Plantagenet hand wrought jewelry was retailed through Liberty & Co. of London in the early 1900s.

Measures 1 3/8" in diameter. Has a 'C' clasp that holds securely. There is a small piece of wire wrapped around the hinge.
