A vintage brooch by Taxco artisan Enrique Ledesma with a sterling silver overlay on a shell background. There are two small round inlays of copper.

Measures 2 1/2" long and 1 1/2" at the widest. Marked on the back with a partial Ledesma, Taxco, 925, and an Eagle mark. Has a rollover safety clasp that holds securely.

Fine condition with some tarnish. The shell is a deep brown with lots of swirls.

Rare design.

A sterling silver floral brooch by Tiffany & Co. with a mark dating from 1910-47 in an Arts and Crafts style. Measures 1 3/4" across and 15/16" wide. Marked Tiffany & Co. Makers Sterling and with a stylized 'M' for the directorship of John C. Moore II. Has a rollover safety clasp that holds tightly. Includes dark blue Tiffany & Co. box. Rare find.

A vintage hand wrought sterling silver brooch with an Arts and Crafts feel by the well known Boston silversmith, Ella Cone, comprised of overlapping leaves and scrolls attached to a thick sterling wire.

Measures 3" long and 2 1/2" high. Roll over clasp holds securely. Marked Sterling, Hand ELC Made on the back. Has a little tarnish and minor surface scratches.

Well made, fine quality.

A vintage large sterling silver Mid Century Modernist brooch by Ed Wiener in the shape of a five pointed star.

Made from thick sterling wire. Unsigned, as were most of his star brooches. We believe this one is the larger version.

Measures 3 1/8" across and 2" high.

Has a rollover safety clasp that holds securely. There may be a slight bend on the long arm, may be original to the piece. Has some minor surface scratches and tarnish.

Fine craftsmanship. Great studio piece

A wonderful brooch by William Spratling depicting a large moth. Measures 2 5/8" across and 1 7/8" high. Marked with the conjoined WS surrounded by Spratling Made in Mexico. Also marked Spratling Silver. Has a rollover safety clasp that holds securely. Heavy silver. Has some minor tarnish and surface scratches. Wonderful item.

A wonderful Danish Skonvirke sterling silver brooch signed SJ for S. L. Jacobsen. Jacobsen was a silversmith who collaborated with Evald Nielsen, a well known jewelry designer known for his Skonvirke designs. Measures 2 1/2" long and 2" at the widest. Has two green stone cabochons. Marked 830S SJ 830S on the back. Beautiful Arts and Crafts design. Has an older 'C' clasp. Very nice condition, one minor ding near the edge of the top piece. Quality piece. Beautiful classic Danish design.

A sterling silver brooch #310 by Georg Jensen, in a ruffle design. Measures about 1 3/8" across and 1 1/8" high. Marked Georg Jensen in a dotted oval, Sterling, Denmark, and style #310. Has a rollover safety clasp that holds securely. Warm patina, with some tarnish. In very nice condition with minor scratches. Great classic design.

A modernist sterling silver brooch by noted NYC mid century jeweler, Sam Kramer, in a stylized 'V' shape with a central copper textured cabochon. Has a three dimensional design. Measures 2 5/8"long and 1 1/2" high. Marked with Sam Kramer's mushroom mark and sterling. Rollover safety clasp holds securely. Has some minor surface scratches and a little tarnish. There is a slight bend at one corner, not sure if it is original. Great MCM design.

An early sterling silver large, heavy brooch or fur clip by Los Castillo in the shape of a flower.

Marked Los Castillo Taxco Sterling Made in Mexico and design #460C. Has a patent number on the back of the clip. Measures 3 1/4" long and 2 1/2" across. Fine condition, some minor scratches to the surface and tarnish.

Heavy and substantial. Classic design.

A vintage hand wrought Sterling Silver brooch depicting a seagull with widespread wings by the noted Arts and Crafts silversmith, Madeleine Turner. She also worked for Georg Jensen USA later in her career.

Measures 2 1/4" across and 2" high.

A vintage hand made Danish silver and moonstone brooch by Hans Nicolajsen Hansen, who worked in Copenhagen from 1921-37. Signed with his conjoined HNH & Co, Eneret and 830S. Measures 2 1/4" long and 5/8" across. Lightly hammered. 'C' clasp holds tightly. Wonderful example of Danish silversmithing.

A vintage sterling silver brooch by the noted silversmith, Nancy Sherwood, who exhibited at the Walker Center in 1959 with many of the Mid Century Modernist studio jewelers. This brooch measures 1 3/4" long and almost 1/2" wide. Marked Sherwood Sterling. Has a rollover safety clasp that holds securely. In very nice condition. Has an interesting 3-D design.

A lightly hammered sterling silver brooch with a green oval cabochon, (possibly jade). Measures 1 3/8" across and 5/8" high. Has a rollover clasp that holds securely. Marked sterling on the back. Fine work, well crafted.

A vintage modernist hand made brooch made of lightly hammered brass adorned with trade beads of various materials, sizes, shapes and textures. Very similar in design to the Fibula brooches of Ramona Solberg, a modernist jeweler whose items were made with 'Found Objects'.

Active 1930s-50s. Measures 1 3/4" long and 1 1/4" wide. Has a rollover safety clasp that holds tightly. Hand made piece. Pretty purple color.
