Two modernist sterling silver hand wrought brooches by Lore Garrick, (1920-2013) in organic free flowing styles. Lore Garrick made hand crafted jewelry in NYC in the 1950s. Known as 'Mother Lore' because her son became Tamal Krishna Goswami, she made the first pieces of jewelry for the Hare Krishna movement in Los Angeles.

An amazing piece of mid century modernist hand wrought jewelry. This copper pendant measures 5 1/4" long and 1 7/8" across. The braided leather thong measures about 19" long and closes with a sterling spring clasp. The pendant is signed with an impressed fleur de lis hallmark on the back. Great hammering. There is some tarnish. Fine contrasting of textures, interesting design.

A huge modernist sterling silver cuff bracelet with a doubled sterling wire overlay. Marked xTo Sterling for the mid century jeweler Ella Cone, who had The Silversmiths' shop in Boston.

Measures approximately 5 3/4" around the center area with an opening of 1 1/4". Flares out, can be worn with the wider part up or down. Can be adjusted slightly. Measures about 3" long.

The overlay is made from one long piece of thick sterling wire in a squiggle design which goes around twice.

She studied at the Art Students League under Kenyon Cox and with William Merritt Chase at Shinnecock. de Cordoba was also associated with the Byrdcliffe Arts & Crafts Colony. A modernist pair of sterling silver screw back earrings by Charles H. Cole, born 1908 and active 1930s-50s. He signed his work with a face hallmark. The facial features spell out his last name. Also signed Sterling and ©. Screw backs are also marked sterling.

Measure about 1 1/8" long and 5/8" at the widest.

Hand made, you can see very light hammering. They are in a floral design with cascading tendrils. Screw backs hold securely. Fine condition, from a talented silversmith.

An unusual sterling silver modernist ring adorned with a green faceted cabochon by the renown Israeli jeweler, Rachel Gera. Measures about a size 6 1/2 - 7. A modernist pendant by the noted NYC jeweler, Paul Lobel. This pendant, made of sterling silver with a wire overlay reminds us of a stylized longhorn. Signed on the back, LOBEL, Sterling.

Measures 1" across and 1 1/4" high including the bale. Chain measures 16" and has a spring closure that holds securely. Has some tarnish and a nick to the silver wire, (which can be buffed out if desired).

Insides of disks are oxidized for a nice contrast. Measure 3/4" across. Screw backs hold securely. Marked LEVIN Sterling. Some tarnish on the undersides. One of the screw backs seems to have been replaced.
