A wonderful pair of sterling silver modernist earrings by the renown African American jeweler, Art Smith. These screw back earrings measure 2 5/8" long and 5/8" at the widest. Marked with the 'Art Smith' script signature. Screw backs are marked with the pinwheel and 925 for sterling. In fine condition with very minor surface scratches and areas of tarnish. Screw backs hold securely. Very comfortable to wear. Classic mid century modernist design.

A sterling silver double pendant with two fused glass on clay jewels by noted modernist jeweler, Elsa Freund, (1912-2001).

Inner neck ring measures about 16" around. Smaller drop measures 1 3/8" long and 1/2" across. Lower pendant measures 1 7/8" long and 7/8" across. Lower pendant is signed Elsa on the back. The front has a 4" drop in total.

An amazing sterling silver modernist huge pendant adorned with a crescent shaped Mother of Pearl cabochon by the renown Israeli jeweler, Rachel Gera. Pendant measures 3 3/4" long and 3 1/4" across. We have paired it with a Mexican sterling silver neck ring. Signed on the back of the pendant Handmade, Israel, Gera and 925. Fine condition. Heavy and substantial. Wonderful piece of modernist jewelry.

An unusual pair of twisted Taxco, Mexico Sterling Silver earrings with bronze or copper ends by William Spratling. We have not been able to find another pair in this design. Measure 3/4" across and 5/8' high. Marked on the back of each screw back with Spratling Silver which was used from 1940-44. Screw backs hold securely. Have some tarnish, a tiny ding and minor scratches. Great design. Pre Eagle.

A pair of vintage screw back earrings and matching ring from the American Studio Modernist jeweler, John Lewis, each with hammered sterling silver circles. They have a lightly hammered texture.

Earrings measures about 1 3/8" long and 3/4" at the widest. Marked Sterling and with the crossed JL mark of the artist. Fine condition, have some minor scratches. Dark patina, we did not polish them. An early pair of screw back earrings by the American Modernist Jeweler, Ed Levin in sterling silver with floating cultured pearls.

Insides of disks are oxidized for a nice contrast. Measure 3/4" across. Screw backs hold securely. Marked LEVIN Sterling. Some tarnish on the undersides. One of the screw backs seems to have been replaced.

She studied at the Art Students League under Kenyon Cox and with William Merritt Chase at Shinnecock. de Cordoba was also associated with the Byrdcliffe Arts & Crafts Colony. Has a snap in clasp which is hidden and holds securely. Also has a safety catch. Marked with what looks like TSD, or ISO, and 925S on the tongue of the clasp.
