A rare modernist sterling silver bracelet by the noted jewelry teacher and designer, Adda Husted-Andersen. Husted-Andersen taught in NYC at the Craft Student's League and her work was exhibited as part of the 1946 landmark exhibition, "Modern Jewelry Design" at the Museum of Modern Art. This bracelet is made from flattened and curved pieces of sterling silver intertwined with three brownish green oval cabochons. Measures about 6" around with an opening of about 1". A vintage modernist pendant necklace by noted mid century jeweler, Winifred Mason Chenet from her highly collectible Voodoo line. Pendant measures 3" long and 1 1/8" at the widest. Possibly pewter. Intricate chain is made up of silver colored squiggled links connected with brass rings and silver colored curved in links. Measures 32" long. No clasp, meant to go over the head. There is a little tarnish. Signed chenet on the back of the pendant. Interesting rare example.

A vintage modernist brooch by noted African American mid century jeweler, Winifred Mason Chenet in copper with 5 dangles. This rare and early brooch was done when she just signed her work Mason, prior to adding the Chenet d'Haiti in the early 1950s.

Measures 2 1/8" across and 3" high including the dangles. Made of oxidized copper with raised graduated bumps. The balls and chains are brass and the hooks connecting the balls are copper for an interesting contrast.

A substantial sterling silver pendant and chain by the noted Peruvian silversmith, Graziella Laffi.

Signed G. Laffi Peru and 925. Depicts the Inca God Virococha wearing his sun crown and holding his thunderbolts.

Pendant measures 3 1/2" long and 1 7/8" across including the bale. The original hand wrought chain measures about 24" around.

Has a very secure locking mechanism. Weighs 113 grams. Very nice condition, some very minor tarnish and surface scratches.

A very rare piece of sterling silver Arts and Crafts jewelry by the San Francisco Metalsmith, Harry Dixon. This unusual ring, in a size 6 1/2 depicts a fish swimming in waves. Very three dimensional. Appears to have a gold colored eye, perhaps 14K gold overlay. Marked with a stamped Harry Dixon San Francisco and a scratched in 925. Has some minor surface scratches. Fine quality.

A vintage sterling silver brooch by Margot de Taxco, (Margot Van Voorhies Carr). Heavy repousse in a classic swirl or Nautilus design, #5104. Has 16 dangles. The matching necklace and bracelet are pictured on page 46 of Penny Morrill's book "William Spratling and the Mexican Silver Renaissance." Circa 1950-55.

The brooch measures 2 1/4" high and 2 1/4" at the widest without the dangles. Marked Made in Mexico Sterling, Margot de Taxco and 5104. Also marked with Eagle #16. Weighs 35 gr. ...

An arts and crafts period stamp box from the workshops of Joseph Heinrichs in New York. Great design with waves of silver over hammered copper. Measures about 5" by 2 1/2" by 1 3/4". D.T.W. initials engraved on top. Marked copper and silver and J.C. Grogan & Co. Pittsburgh where it was retailed. Fine example.

A sterling silver hand wrought brooch by the mid century modernist studio jeweler, Ruth Berridge, (1921-2004). Looks like rows of randomly placed flattened pebbles. Curved for a multidimensional effect. Measures about 2 3/8" across and 1 1/2" high. Hand signed © Ruth Berridge, Handmade Sterling on the back. Rollover clasp holds securely. Fine condition with minor surface scratches and a little tarnish. This piece is from her estate. Classic Ruth Berridge design.

A vintage large sterling silver and pearl Mid Century Modernist brooch in the style of Betty Cooke or Ed Wiener. Consists of three boomerang shaped pieces of thick sterling, tapering at the ends. Measures 3 1/2" across and 3" high. Has a rollover safety clasp that holds securely. Has some minor surface scratches and a little tarnish. Well made with a stunning design. Great studio piece.

A vintage very large Pal Kepenyes Milagros necklace. Brass with a copper wash on some of the Milagros. Signed Pal Kepenyes in script on the back. Measures about 17" around. Hook closure. Very nice condition. Incredible design!

An important early brooch of sterling silver by the acclaimed American modernist jeweler, Margaret De Patta. Measures 3" long and 1 5/8" at the widest. Early incised maker's mark. Circa 1935. Heavy layered sterling in an abstract floral design. Wonderful condition, with some very minor surface scratches and tarnish. Missing the rollover bar on the clasp. Slight bend on the pin. A similar De Patta brooch can be seen in the Philips de Pury Design Auction dated May 24, 2007, lot number 189....

A rare hand wrought bracelet by Madeline Turner, a New York City Jeweler who worked from the 1930's to the 1950's. She designed jewelry for Georg Jensen USA. In sterling silver with periwinkle blue art glass cabochons. Marked with her conjoined M Turner hallmark. Measures about 6 1/4" around and about 1" wide. Clasp snaps closed tightly. Has a safety clasp. In very nice condition. A wonderful example of her work.

A very rare sterling silver bracelet by Salvador Teran. Depicts a stylized woman praying, carved out of what looks like bone. Also has one curved bone piece on either side of the center section. Marked Salvador, Sterling, Mexico, Design # 510 and Eagle # 36. Measures 7" around and 1 3/8" at the widest. Has a tongue and box closure which snaps tightly and a safety chain. In wonderful condition with a warm patina. Collector quality.

A striking cuff bracelet by Winifred Mason Chenet, who was an African American woman hand crafting jewelry in Greenwich Village. She reportedly worked with and trained Art Smith, a well respected African American modernist jeweler. This bracelet is made of copper with brass overlays and connections of copper rivets and wire. Measures 5 1/2" around with an opening of 1 3/8" and 1 3/4" wide. Signed with her stylized 'chenet'. Wonderfully hand made work.

An amazing 'checkerboard' sterling silver modernist necklace by Georg Jensen, #191. Designed by Ernst Forsmann. Measures 15" long and 1/2" wide. Has a hook closure and two secure safety clasps. Marked Georg Jensen in a dotted oval, 925S, Denmark, and 191. Wonderful condition. Heavy and intricate, looks spectacular on! A very special piece.
