A brooch made out of one long piece of lightly hammered sterling silver with a central oval dark orange cabochon by noted Vermont jeweler, Luella C. Schroeder, (1918-2004), who worked at the Cranbrook Institute before going off on her own to open a jewelry studio. Signed sterling and with the maker's mark LCS in stylized letters. An interesting pair of 830 Silver screw back earrings with rough cut amethyst quartz cabochons. Measure 1 1/8" long and 3/4" across. Screw backs hold securely. Marked 830S NIC on the back of each dangle. Each screw back is marked 830S. One screw back also has the stylized 'J' for Sylvsmidja of Norway. Interesting mixture of textures. Pretty purple color.

An interesting vintage pendant depicting a Nordic Figure or God perhaps playing a flute. Probably silver plated pewter or bronze. Marked on the back Hand Made, Made in Iceland, (we think), and a signature of initials that look like the conjoined initials EB. Pendant measures 2" long and 7/8" across. Suspended from a 22" chain made to slip over your head. Fine condition. Fun, mid century design.

An important early brooch of sterling silver by the acclaimed American modernist jeweler, Margaret De Patta. Measures 3" long and 1 5/8" at the widest. Early incised maker's mark. Circa 1935. Heavy layered sterling in an abstract floral design. Wonderful condition, with some very minor surface scratches and tarnish. Missing the rollover bar on the clasp. Slight bend on the pin. A similar De Patta brooch can be seen in the Philips de Pury Design Auction dated May 24, 2007, lot number 189....

A sterling silver modernist brooch by Phyllis Sklar, American Mid Century jeweler. This brooch has a thick sterling wire overlay with an oval moonstone cabochon on a darkened, oxidized surface. Measures 1 1/4" tall and 1 3/8" at the widest. Has the stylized 'p' hallmark, phyllis and sterling on the back. Nice contrast between the oxidized and shiny sterling layers. Rollover clasp holds securely. Has some minor surface scratches. Classic Phyllis design.

A well constructed sterling silver modernist bracelet from Taxco. Measures 7" long and almost 5/8" wide. Marked with Eagle #3, Taxco, Mexico and partial initials, (maybe ALP). Has some tarnish and minor dings. Heavy fold over clasp snaps tightly. Nice weight, great look. A rare sterling silver ring by William Spratling in the Vindobonesis style. The ring is from the first design period. Measures about a size 6. Dates from before 1946. Marked with the script 'WS' surrounded by Spratling Made in Mexico, and Spratling Silver. This ring has wear to the surface and a ding to one of the vertical balls. The ring has some tarnish and surface scratches. This is a very hard to find piece of Spratling jewelry.

A vintage modernist hammered silver plate and wood handled coffee set. Consists of coffee or tea pot, covered sugar, creamer and tray. Pot measures 8 1/2" tall and 6" at the widest. Creamer is 3 1/2" tall and 4" from handle to spout. Covered sugar measures 3" tall and 2 7/8" across. All have some kind of exotic wood handles. Tray measures 11 3/4" long and 8" wide. Shows wear to the plating on the tray , pot and creamer. Creamer has a very small ding. Great design. Unsigned.

A pair of vintage modernist Mexican silver and turquoise colored stone screw back earrings. Influenced by Hubert Harmon's Sputnik design. Measure 5/8" across and drop down 1 1/2". In nice condition, some tarnish. Findings are marked Alpaca, and the maker's initials, JCR. Earrings cleaned up like silver. Screw backs work fine. They sway while you walk and really catch the light! Fun design.
