A modernist sterling silver ring by noted mid century jeweler, Sam Kramer, in a layered amoeba shape with a taxidermy eye. Measures about a 6 3/4 - 7. Face of ring measures 1" long and 7/8" across. Marked with Sam Kramer's mushroom mark twice and sterling. Has some minor surface scratches and a little tarnish. Heavy sterling. Great MCM design. Sam Kramer's taxidermy designs are highly collectible and rare.

A vintage modernist sterling silver ring embellished with 24K gold by the well known Japanese silversmith, Miye Matsukata, whose work was signed Janiye. She attended the Museum of Fine Arts School in Boston, afterwards starting a workshop with other jewelers. This ring is in an abstract design, with layers of gold and silver, and contrasting textures and shapes. Measures about size 7.5. Marked on the inside Miye Janiye, Sterling 24K and 81.
