A sterling silver abstract brooch by the MCM jeweler and sculpter, Joseph Skinger, (1911-1967). He was active in Vermont in the 1950s and 60s, working primarily in silver. Known for his modernist 'Slalom' ring.

This brooch measures 2 1/8" long and 1" at the widest. Marked Sterling Skinger.

This could also be worn as a pendant with a chain or cord laced through the curled top as shown.

In fine condition. There is a very slight bend near the clasp, probably done during production...

A sterling silver with 18K gold overlay cut out cuff bracelet in the style of Graziella Laffi. Signed Industria Peruana, JVC for the artisan, 925 and 18K. Measures 6" around with an additional 1 3/4" opening. 1 3/4" at the widest. Very nice condition, some very minor tarnish and surface scratches. Well made and heavy. Striking design!

A modernist bracelet, 'Agena' by Zoltan Popovits for Lapponia, Finland in sterling silver.

Marked with the Lapponia Hallmark, 925, Finnish silver standard mark, date code F8, and scales mark.

Measures 7 1/2" long and 1/4" at the widest. Has a locking clasp that holds securely. Light texture for an interesting effect. Links are curved so lays nicely on the wrist.

A long necklace with silver and copper links and a central warrior shaped pendant in mixed metals attributed to Los Castillo.

The chain measures 24" long and has a hook clasp. The central pendant is made from married silver, copper, and brass metals and has an inlay of some kind of green stone. It measures 4" long and 1 3/4" at the widest.

Marked Hecho en Mexico on the reverse which is brass. Has some surface scratches and shows a little wear. We did not polish it...

Marked Los Castillo Taxco around Eagle 15, and design #115. Pendant measures 3 1/4" across and 2 1/8" tall. Necklace is a total of 15" long. Has a box clasp that holds securely. A vintage hand wrought modernist sterling pendant strung on a green silk cord by noted mid century jeweler, Mary Schimpff Webb, (1922-2019).

The central pendant set with a large green stone has light hammering. The pendant measures 1 7/8" long and 1 1/4" across. The four links and the hook clasp are also hand wrought sterling silver. Marked Schimpff sterling on the back. Measures about 22" long in total.

Hook closure holds securely. Has some tarnish, we did not polish it...

A modernist sterling silver ring by Oscar Aaroe, (1905-1996), a jeweler and silversmith born in Denmark who apprenticed with Georg Jensen and had his store on Palm Springs, California. This ring feels Southwestern in design and was probably influenced by the Native American silversmiths in the area.

Has a bezel set dark green - almost black smooth stone. Measures size 9.

Marked O. Aaroe Handmade Sterling and Palm Springs, Calif. on the back.

An Art Deco style silver bracelet from Mexico with seven bullet shaped prong set amethyst cabochons. The stones have some inclusions.

Marked Mexico Silver on the back. Probably 980 which is better than sterling and was commonly used at the time. Measures 6 1/2" long, 1/2" wide and 3/4" high. Box clasp holds securely.

The stones are held in place by long hand made prongs. The stones wiggle a little bit. The clasp has a curled hand made button. Has minor surfaces scratches and tarnish....

An organic mid century modern brooch by the American studio jeweler, Paul Miller. This brooch, executed in sterling silver with an interesting marbleized stone, measures 2 7/8" long and 1 1/2" at the widest. Marked Sterling, Paul Miller on the back. A pair of sterling silver screw back earrings in a mid century modernist design. We have seen only one other pair in almost the exact design signed Ed Wiener. Constructed of a layer of oxidized sterling with a contrasting polished curved sterling wire overlay.

The earrings measure 1 1/4" high and 7/8" across and hold securely. They are marked with Sterling, hand wrought and a partial W in a triangle. The screw part is marked Sterling.

Garré (1920-2018), a self taught artisan who started her third career of jewelry making in Washington state. Also marked Hand Wrought Sterling and 181 which may be a style number.

An interesting hand made abstract reticulated pendant with an oval bezel set green stone. The top piece swings on the inverted 'U' shaped silver wire.

A modernist sterling silver hand wrought cuff bracelet by Lore Garrick, (1920-2013) in a streamlined layered style. Lore Garrick made hand crafted jewelry in NYC in the 1950s. Known as 'Mother Lore' because her son became Tamal Krishna Goswami, she made the first pieces of jewelry for the Hare Krishna movement in Los Angeles.

This bracelet is constructed of two layers of sterling with a spiral on the thick curved wire layer. The artist purposefully oxidized the area under the wire for a co...
