A wonderful modernist bar brooch with a braided design by Hector Aguilar. Signed with his conjoined HA, Taxco and 940 for the silver content. Shown on page 150 of Penny Morrill's book, "Silver Masters of Mexico". Measures 2 7/8" across and 1" tall. Has a rollover clasp that holds securely. In very nice condition, has some tarnish and minor surface scratches. Circa 1940. Great stylized design.

A bold, modernist sterling silver ring by the noted Danish jewelry designer, Hermann Siersbol. Currently measures between about a size 7 but is adjustable. Orb measures 3/4" wide and 3/4" high. Marked HS and 925S. Has a few tiny, very faint dings and surface scratches. Sits high on the finger. Great design.

A sterling silver modernist brooch with a layer of three stylized fish on a contrasting darkened silver background by noted Vermont jeweler, Luella C. Schroeder, (1918-2004), who worked at the Cranbrook Institute before going off on her own to open a jewelry studio. Measures 2 1/4" long and almost an inch across. Has a rollover safety clasp that holds securely. Minor scratches and a little tarnish. Marked Sterling and with the maker's mark 'LCS'. We have some other pieces by this artist...

A very interesting sterling silver hook bracelet with a rectangular bone inlay. Measures 7" around and 3/8" wide.

Marked with what looks like YUXO or YUKO 925 behind the inlay and on the inside of the band. May be Chinese or Japanese, not sure.

Fine condition, shows some minor wear. Warm patina, pretty striations to the bone.

A vintage modernist sterling silver pendant for a necklace by Taxco artisan, Erika Hult de Corral. This large pendant has a fluid, organic design. Marked Ric, Taxco SA, Sterling and Design #62. Also has Eagle #3. Measures 3 7/8" long and 2 3/4" at the widest. Has some minor surface scratches and a little tarnish. There is a small mark on the back, but it looks like it was done during production. Large bale will accommodate a thick chain or neck ring. Classic RIC design.

A sterling silver brooch in the three dimensional Amphi design. Measures 2" across and 2" high. Marked with the ND for Norway Designs, conjoined TV for Tone Vigeland superimposed on O.P. for Odver Pettersen who was the production manager for Norway Plus in the 1960's. Also has the Plus sign, Sterling and Norway. Has a rollover safety clasp that holds tightly. Nice weight and quality. Great mid century design.

A pair of David Andersen sterling silver cuff links in a Celtic Viking design. Marked on the back Osebergfunnet, Kopi CA 850 E KR. This means that the design is based on an archaeological find from 850 AD. Also marked D-A, Norway, sterling and 925S. Measure 7/8" by 1/2". Toggles function properly. Very nice condition with minor tarnish.

A sterling silver hand wrought link bracelet by the mid century modernist studio jeweler, Ruth Berridge, (1921-2004). Bracelet measures about 7 1/4" around and 1 7/8" wide. Marked with her stylized 'rB' hallmark, Berridge Hand Made and Sterling on the inside. There is light hammering and texture on the surface. Has a hidden hook closure which holds securely. An unusual pendant made of hammered copper surrounding a sterling silver cross with a prong set stone. The stone is polished smooth on the front and back, but was left raw on the sides. Marked Sterling on the back. Pendant measures 2 1/8" across and 2 1/4" high. Comes with a silver tone neck ring. Has some tarnish, we did not polish it. Very striking modernist piece.

An important early brooch of sterling silver by the acclaimed American modernist jeweler, Margaret De Patta. Measures 3" long and 1 5/8" at the widest. Early incised maker's mark. Circa 1935. Heavy layered sterling in an abstract floral design. Wonderful condition, with some very minor surface scratches and tarnish. Missing the rollover bar on the clasp. Slight bend on the pin. A similar De Patta brooch can be seen in the Philips de Pury Design Auction dated May 24, 2007, lot number 189...
