A well crafted sterling silver brooch with a central shell cabochon. Has a coiled sterling layer over a darkened layer for an interesting contrast. Measures 1 1/2" across and 1 3/8" high. Has a rollover safety clasp that holds securely. Has a maker's mark that looks like an arrow with a circle inside. Also marked 925. Very nice quality. Shell has a pretty dark orange color.

A sterling silver floral brooch by Georg Jensen USA designed by Alphonse Lapaglia. We've seen this brooch marked with the design number 103, but this one is not marked with a design number. Measures 1 7/8" long and 1 5/8" across. Marked Georg Jensen, Inc. U.S.A. Hand Wrought, Sterling. Has a rollover safety clasp that holds securely. A few of the petals are slightly bent. Has a little tarnish and some minor surface scratches. Well made and heavy.

She also sold her work directly to high end retail outlets. Brooch measures 1 7/8" across and 1 7/8" high. Marked on the back JoPoL, Sterling and design number 317. Has a rollover safety clasp that holds securely. Warm patina. Great Arts and Crafts design.

A classic Mexican silver brooch reminiscent of one of William Spratling's earlier designs. This large brooch is marked Made in Mexico Sterling in raised letters on the back. Rollover clasp holds securely. The three amethyst flowers are in good condition with minor flea bites and a little roughness to some edges. Sterling has a warm patina. Pretty deep purple stones. Three dimensional flowerpot has a small bend to one of the arms. Measures 2 1/2" across and 2 1/2" tall. Pre 1948. Classic design....

A very cool brooch by Peggy Miller, an American studio jeweler who worked in Baltimore in the 1950's -60's. This brass brooch measures 2" across and 2 1/8" high. Has a rollover safety clasp that holds securely. Signed Peggy Miller on the back. The points are curved up giving the brooch a three dimensional effect. There is some tarnish. Great mid century design.
