A vintage hand made sterling silver and fresh water pearl brooch. Depicts a bouquet of flowers secured with a bow. Measures about 2" long and 1 1/8" across. Signed with conjoined initials CR and 925. Has a rollover clasp that hold tightly. Nice condition, has a warm patina. Nice weight and well made.

A sterling silver modernist brooch by Phyllis Sklar, American Mid Century jeweler. This brooch has a thick sterling wire overlay with an oval moonstone cabochon on a darkened, oxidized surface. Measures 1 1/4" tall and 1 3/8" at the widest. Has the stylized 'p' hallmark, phyllis and sterling on the back. Nice contrast between the oxidized and shiny sterling layers. Rollover clasp holds securely. Has some minor surface scratches. Classic Phyllis design.

A well made sterling silver brooch in an abstract design by Stig & Astrid Gusterman who came to the US from Sweden in the 1950's and started their jewelry business in Denver. Marked Sterling, Denver, and SGr in a square for the Gusterman hallmark. Measures 2" long and 1 1/4" across. Has a rollover safety clasp that holds tightly. In nice condition, has a little tarnish and minor surface scratches. Heavy for size. The Gusterman daughters now carry on the tradition with a store in Santa Fe, NM. ...

Signed with conjoined 'JM' for Joseph Masaniello, a New York Mid Century Modernist jeweler who was instructed in Arts and Crafts traditions. Also marked Sterling. Measures 2 1/2" at the widest. Has a safety rollover clasp that holds fine. Green cabochon measures 1/2" long. Nice warm patina, very well made.

A very cool brooch by Peggy Miller, an American studio jeweler who worked in Baltimore in the 1950's -60's. This brass brooch measures 2" across and 2 1/8" high. Has a rollover safety clasp that holds securely. Signed Peggy Miller on the back. The points are curved up giving the brooch a three dimensional effect. There is some tarnish. Great mid century design.

A pair of acid etched brass Arts and Crafts period brooches by Marshall Field & Co. Chicago. Larger brooch measures 3 3/8" long and 1 1/2" high. Marked on the back 'Made in Our Craft Shop, Marshall Field & Co.' Smaller brooch measures 2 1/2" across and 2" high. These brooches came together. The smaller one is not marked. Both brooches have 'C' clasps that hold securely. May be purchased as a set or individually.

A lovely hand made sterling silver brooch constructed of two thick curled wires meeting under a large Chrysoprase cabochon. One end of each wire is hammered flat for an interesting effect. Measures 3 1/4" long and 1" at the widest. Has a rollover safety clasp that holds securely. Marked .925 for Sterling and with a jeweler's hammer maker's mark. In very nice condition. Stone has a beautiful apple green color. Well crafted design.
