A modernist pair of dangle earrings by Winifred Mason Chenet. According to published reports Winifred Mason Chenet was an African American woman hand crafting jewelry in Greenwich Village. She worked with and trained Art Smith, a well respected African American modernist jeweler. She believed that each piece should be unique and distinctive. These earrings have a smooth finish on the top and a hammered texture on the bottom. Chenet used some oxidation for an interesting contrast. Measure 1 1/8" ...

A pair of modernist sterling silver earrings or ear cuffs, design #126 by Nan Ditzel for Georg Jensen. Measure 1 1/4" long and 3/4" wide. Marked Georg Jensen in a dotted oval, Sterling Denmark and style #126. No need to have pierced ears, these are designed to hook into your ear. In nice condition with a little tarnish and some very minor surface scratches. There is a small ding near the edge of one earring. This design is no longer being produced. Great modernist design.

A rare modernist ring by Bjorn Weckstrom for Lapponia in sterling silver, 'Birth of a Crater'. This ring is part of his earlier series called Space. Marked with the Lapponia Hallmark, 925H, Finnish silver standard mark, date code for 1969, Sterling and Finland. The front of the ring measures 1 1/2" across. Ring is a size 7-7.5. Very nice condition. Wonderful example of Scandinavian design.

A vintage sterling silver abstract modernist ring from the shop of Walter Wright, a Los Angeles jeweler. Wright was an associate of Margaret De Patta and sold her work and other modernist jewelry. A five sided central design with three dimensional circles and bars coming off a blackened background. Approximately a size 10. Marked Walter Wright Sterling. Has some tarnish, a few scratches on the back of the band and a little wear to the black. Great example of mid-century modern studio jewelry.

A vintage modernist pair of sterling silver earrings by Antonio Pineda, Taxco. Measure 3/4" long and 5/8" wide. Marked with the Antonio crown, 970, and an Eagle 17 mark. A wonderful pair of modernist sterling silver earrings by noted jeweler Brenda Schoenfeld from Taxco, Mexico. They are made up of sterling ovals with a brutalist overlay and with two tear shaped dangles and a third large sterling dangling bead. A vintage modernist sterling silver and lapis ring by David Andersen. Has an oval raised blue cabochon which measures 3/4" long, 1/2" wide and 1/8" high. Ring is adjustable and currently measures about size 6. Interesting raised setting and hammered open back. In good vintage condition, stone has some roughness to the edge and flea bites and light surface scratches. Marked with D-A, 925S, Scales, and Norway-Sterling.
