A large sterling silver brooch by Taxco artisan Enrique Ledesma with a dark green elongated stone. Measures 2 3/4" long and 1 1/8" wide. Marked on the back Ledesma, Mexico, Taxco, 925, BB, Eagle #3 and design number 289. Has a rollover safety clasp that holds securely. Has a hairline on the side which doesn't go all the way through. A wonderful vintage sterling brooch from well known Danish Silversmith, Niels Erik From. This brooch, made in Sterling Silver with an amber cabochon, is about 1 3/4" across. Marked Sterling, Denmark, and N. E. From. Nice warm patina. Has some minor scratching to the stone. Beautiful design.

A whimsical sterling silver brooch depicting a man playing the maracas by Los Castillo. Marked Made in Mexico, Los Castillo Taxco around Eagle 15, and design # 102. Measures 2" across and 1 7/8" tall. Has a rollover clasp that holds tightly. Very nice condition, some minor scratches to the surface and tarnish. A tiny ding to the top of the higher maraca. Can't be seen from the front. Great modernist design!

A sterling silver modernist brooch by Phyllis Sklar, American Mid Century jeweler. This brooch has a thick sterling wire overlay with an oval moonstone cabochon on a darkened, oxidized surface. Measures 1 1/4" tall and 1 3/8" at the widest. Has the stylized 'p' hallmark, phyllis and sterling on the back. Nice contrast between the oxidized and shiny sterling layers. Rollover clasp holds securely. Has some minor surface scratches. Classic Phyllis design.

A wonderful silver and enamel Arts and Crafts brooch by William Hair Haseler. Measures 1 5/8" across and 1/2" wide. Has a 'C' clasp that holds securely. Marked with the initials W.H.H. for William Hair Haseler, the anchor city mark for Birmingham, the lion passant for the Sterling standard, and the date mark for 1905. Has a little roughness to the enamel at the top point. Beautiful colors. Classic Liberty style design.

A vintage sterling silver brooch by Alphonse La Paglia, who designed for Georg Jensen USA. This is the same number 109 as the Jensen USA brooch, but it is signed La Paglia, Sterling, 109. Also is engraved Jean, Pat 4-13-52. Measures 1 5/8" across and 1 3/8" high. Has a rollover safety clasp that holds tightly. The bar that goes across the back has a bend in it, but it is not very noticeable from the front. Has some tarnish. Fine quality, classic design.

A well constructed brooch made of 835 silver with a coral stone, probably from Germany, Austria or The Czech Republic. Has an interesting contrast of textures. Measures 2 1/2" across and 5/8" wide. Closes securely with a trombone clasp. Marked Handarbeit, and 835. Also has an unidentified maker's mark and another hallmark too small to decipher. Wonderful design.
