A wonderful vintage hand wrought sterling silver brooch in an Arts and Crafts design. Signed with a conjoined 'JM' for Joseph Masaniello, a New York Mid Century Modernist jeweler who was instructed in Arts and Crafts traditions. Also marked Sterling. Measures 1 7/8" at the widest and 1 1/4" across. Has a safety rollover clasp that holds securely. Carnelian cabochon measures 3/4" long. Nice warm patina, very well made.

A vintage sterling silver hand wrought bangle bracelet and brooch by the well regarded silversmith, Herman Glendenning, (1906-1977). Glendenning worked for the prominent silversmith Arthur Stone and attained the Master Craftsman rank of the Society of Arts and Crafts, Boston, in 1927.
