A huge modernist sterling silver cuff bracelet with a doubled sterling wire overlay. Marked xTo Sterling for the mid century jeweler Ella Cone, who had The Silversmiths' shop in Boston.
Measures approximately 5 3/4" around the center area with an opening of 1 1/4". Flares out, can be worn with the wider part up or down. Can be adjusted slightly. Measures about 3" long.
The overlay is made from one long piece of thick sterling wire in a squiggle design which goes around twice.
Has some tarnish and surface scratches. Slightly out of round. Nice contrast between the oxidization which is under the wire and polished silver.
Fine example of Mid Century Modernist studio jewelry. Makes a statement.
