A pair of Taxco Mexico sterling silver pendants; one with a central oval amethyst and one in a Pre Columbian design with a coral colored cabochon by the noted female jeweler, Bernice Goodspeed. May be purchased individually or as a pair.

The pendant with the amethyst measures 2 1/2" long and 1 1/2" at the widest. Currently strung on a black cord. This pendant was originally a brooch and converted by a previous owner.

Marked on the back Sterling Taxco around the stylized 'B' for the artisan. Very intricate work. Deep purple color with natural inclusions. Thick sterling curls around the stone. There is a slight ripple where the finding for the brooch was removed. In fine condition with minor tarnish.

The other pendant has both a bale and pin finding so can also be worn as a brooch.

Measures 2 1/8" high and 1 1/2" at the widest. Marked with Taxco Mexico around the stylized B, Sterling, 925 and what looks like Eagle #28. The central cabochon is coral in color but not sure what it is. Thick sterling and heavy. Nice contrast between the raised polished and oxidized background surfaces. Rollover clasp holds securely. The large bale will accommodate a thick chain or neck ring. Fine condition with minor scratches and tarnish.

Fine examples of the versatility of her work.

For the amethyst pendant: $165

For the pendant/brooch with coral: $195

For the pair: $325
