A vintage sterling silver large pendant designed by Karen Strand for Anton Michelsen, made in Denmark in a teardrop design. Has a central prong set pale green jewel. Not sure what the stone is. The brooch version of this pendant is part of the British Museum's permanent collection. It is called the Persian Palm.

The pendant measures 2 1/2" long including the bale and 2" across. Marked with the AM crown hallmark, sterling and Denmark. Also marked STRAND for the designer. Has some minor surface scratches and a little tarnish.
Currently suspended from a thick Taxco sterling neck ring with a hook clasp. Measurs about 17" around. Marked 925, TA-86, Sterling, and some other illegible mark. Has some tarnish.
It would also work well on a thick chain or cord due to the large bale.
Fine example of Scandinavian craftsmanship.
