An unusual hand wrought brooch in the shape of a surrealist eye in thick hammered sterling silver with a brown gemstone bead for the iris. Has 2 layers of sterling, one more hammered then the other for an interesting contrast. The dangling brown bead moves and reflects on the sterling background.
Signed with a partially struck To... ier, Sterling and 925. Wish we could figure out the artist. Measures 4 1/4" long and 2 7/8" at the widest. Has a rollover clasp that holds securely. Has a little tarnish.
Interesting piece, reminiscent of the famous Salvador Dali eye design. Well crafted.
