Large Canaanite ceramic storage jar with 2 bands of monochrome crosshatching on the shoulder and a design of converging lines on the bottom half. Rare Art Nouveau vase by Jean Langlade (France, 1879-1928), circa 1910. This "gres flamme" three footed vase is encased in a brass stylized floral overlay. The bottom is glazed and the glaze may hide a signature. The work however is unmistakably Langlade. This vase is almost 11" high and is in excellent condition. One of two works from the same collection by Langlade available on this site.

Rare and impressive glass bottle (Nootka or Makah, Northwest Coast)covered with a fine weave of twined bear grass over cedar bark. Solid bands alternating with open lattice work. Middle band with polychrome (aniline dyes) figures of whale and eagle, and on the other side hunting scene with boat and flying sea bird. 1890-1900 period. Almost 12" high. In excellent condition. This bottle may have had a lid at some point.
