Extremely rare Cizhou ware truncated meiping, Jin-Yuan Dynasty, with a squat ovoid body, a recessed base and a short narrow ribbed neck, freely painted with two bands of stylized flying ducks or geese over a creamy ground, the largest on the body of the jar, the smallest on the shoulder, each band within double lines. From an old collection of Chinese ceramics in Charlotte NC.

Rare two handled-vase by famed Seagrove North Carolina potters Linda Dixon and Drew Krouse. Stands over 8" high. Signature "Dixon Krouse" and date "99" incised, together with the LDDK impressed chop. Dixon and Krouse are known for their studio ceramics and their architectural works.

A pair of rare works by famed North Carolina artist and ceramicist James (Jim) Southerland, circa 1990s. Both pieces are well signed. On the right a stoneware vase with a tight pattern of indigo lines running at a slight slant. On the right a raku urn with an abstracted motif with variations running again at a slant through the body of the work. Both are in excellent condition.
